Sending Some LOVE to Joplin, MO!

I'm a little behind on this one...

Back in May 2011, there was a HUGE F5 tornado that tore through Joplin, MO. The teachers and community there are still trying to recover. DeeDee Wills over at Mrs. Wills Kindergarten received an e-mail request and decided to help out. Not only did she help out, but she also recruited over 100 teachers to help her as well!

Over 100 teachers linked up the Mrs. Wills' linky party - donating something to those teachers and students in Joplin.

You can read Mrs. Wills' original post by click on the picture below.

I was too late to give the materials to Erica in time for her staff meeting, but I did send her an e-mail asking if she still wanted donations. When she replied yes, I sent her $10 worth of materials from my Teachers Pay Teachers store. I asked that she print my materials or forward my e-mail on to all of her Kindergarten teachers in Joplin.

Here are the materials she received:
I hope this helps those teachers out in some way. Teaching today can be very challenging, but I cannot even begin to imagine what it is like for those who have had something so tragic happen.

Good luck with your continued recovery, citizens of Joplin.
