Making a teaching resume is a challenge. Well, at least for me it is! I feel like my resume is never good enough and that I don't know what to do to stand out from the crowd.
However, I've been searching the internet looking for ways to improve my current resume.
Great Resume Example has some great ideas on their website! For example, they recommend putting part of a recommendation right on the resume. Or you could include your philosophy statement right up front. Check out their website for more great tips or to check out some examples!
I have often wished my resume was more of a paragraph format rather than all of the bullets I use. Honestly, I have no idea which is better - but the paragraph format just intrigues me. Click on this link to head to The Preschool Professor to see the "paragraph" resume that always catches my eye.
Finally, here are some links to resumes that I have used in the past. I took out my personal information and am leaving them in an editable format so you can use the templates if you choose. They are nothing fancy, but they have served me well. With these resumes, you will also see some of my "tips" that have worked well for me.
Does anyone have any other suggestions or formats that might help me make my resume even better? When I get it all figured out (if ever!) I'll post it for everyone to comment on.
Thanks for looking!
