This post is going to be largely for sale products, but they all belong to others! These are products that I've bought in the past, and ones that my students and I have LOVED! (I've sprinkled a couple freebies in just for good measure!)
Let's start with this awesome "Fraction Dude"!
The best part about this product? The "fraction dude" is only one part of it! With your purchase you get task cards (which my students actually enjoyed!), a simplest form activity using M&Ms, and a recipe for fraction trail mix.
Here's one activity that is always a favorite in the classroom! Rachel Lynette's task cards! I honestly don't know exactly how many sets I have, but I know they are always a hit. Whether we play Scoot or if the students move around the room, it's a success!
Want to try some task cards for free? No problem! Rachel Lynette has an entire website devoted to Task Cards, and one section just of FREEBIES! There's even game boards, so task cards would make a perfect center activity!
I've just starting using these Paragraph of the Week sheets, but I'm certainly enjoying them! My 6th graders are already good at writing a simple paragraph, but I'm using these to guide our 1-3 page writing. It's working well, and the students really love the topics! This product will get you through an entire year. What's not to love?
This is a product I've had for awhile - Tracee Orman's Fiction/Non-fiction Reading Graphic Organizers. They are AWESOME! I can literally look at which Common Core standard I am going to teach, find her resource, copy (or put on overhead), and GO! A definite MUST HAVE!
Then there's Meghan Farley. I first loved her because Farley is a family name. =) But then she started her Currently monthly column on her blog. While I've never participated, I always enjoy reading through them! Now she has totally outdone herself and has a product to do Currently in the classroom! My students did the first one before Christmas and asked if we could do them every month before I even mentioned I had a full year's worth. YES! Asking for more writing activities - you can't go wrong there!
These Interactive Math Journals are going to make me the best.math.teacher.EVER! I enjoy teaching math, but I know I need to do a more hands-on approach. The plan is to start this in January, and I know I'll see great results! :)
Here's another product I am SUPER EXCITED about! Reading Olympians! This is a program that teaches Greek and Latin Roots - which are Common Core standards. I'm not sure how well I know them myself, and I KNOW my students struggle with this - so I'll be using them to start the year!
Another reasong I'm excited about Reading Olympians is because they offer a website with helpful tips and ideas for implementing Reading Olympians. You can check it out here. Julie and Krista have some awesome freebies in their TpT store like this "chocolatology-the science of chocolate" activity. I'll be using it to start the new semester off and introduce the roots/prefixes.
Want to try Reading Olympians for FREE? Check out the first level of words for free here!
I've been wanting to get some Word Work going in my upper elementary classroom, but I wasn't exactly sure how to do it. Now I can get started! YEA!
These Story Elements Fans have me so excited! My student already love Runde's Cootie Catchers, so I knew the fans would be a hit as well. Of course they are!
If you've made it this far - YEA! I normally don't do these paid products, but I've just bought so many great items that I HAD to share them! (No, I'm not getting reimbursed from any of these people!) But I also want to reward you for hanging around this long... How about some fabulous freebies for the New Year? Yes? I thought so!
I'll leave you with a second freebie from Laura Candler. This will be great for Word Work or spelling during that first week back to school.
Great for grades 2-5.
Enjoy your holiday break!
