Departmentalizing Across Grade Levels

departmentalizing across grade levels tips, ideas, pros and cons

This past year our elementary school did something different. We decided to try departmentalizing across grade levels. Why, you ask? I love reading and have … [Read more...] about Departmentalizing Across Grade Levels

Thank you, Veterans!

In honor of Veterans' Day coming up on Monday, a coworker and I teamed up to complete a dual Social Studies/Writing project. We started by asking the students to research about the Tomb. (Hello, Common Core skills!) Then we gave them a graphic organizer, and finally they wrote their drafts on the paper … [Read more...] about Thank you, Veterans!
